That will never happen, then Ag would be cutting down on their profits from us It is like hooking a fish on a line; if you give it slack, it may get away.
Double agree!! last night I could not sleep was thinking what I needed to get for each doll and when I would get it!

I've made a command decision about AG. From this point on, I will be saving up $200 a year for AG stuff. Anything else I want will have to be gifts or gift certificates. $200 allows me to get the LE and friend released that year, but it also puts a cap on my spending. I know it seems silly, but I'm hoping the next LE will look really similar to a current AGOT or historical, so I won't be compelled to get her. (not likely, lol)
I kinda like how they keep rushing things out. But then again, I don't get everything, just what I like.
I think it's good they release a lot like this, not only to profit more, but also, some people don't collect for the Today dolls, and just get the Historicals and their items, and some don't collect for the today dolls. I think there's a pretty nice balance.
Those of us that collect for both, are the unlucky ones, because there's more we like, lol.
It seems to me they don't release as many Bitty outfits as they do Today, or even Historical. I don't collect Bitty, and barely even notice when a new outfit comes out, but it seems there's like 3-4 a year, whereas about 8 AGT.
I, personally, wish they'd have a more sensical release pattern. How many dolls havent gotten outfits in *YEARS*, yet others keep getting new outfits. It's a bit sad for those that collect Kirsten and, especially, Josefina.
I collect for Bitty Baby and I wish AG would make a couple more outfits a year for Bitty.
I agree with felicity_horselover--I think it would be nice if AG would pace themselves a little, and release new dolls and/or outfits every month or two. That way, we wouldn't have this flurry of exitement of everything coming out at once, and then long stretches of time when NOTHING new comes out.
(It would also be easier on the budgets of those of us who aren't independently wealthy, which includes me!)

Only $200 a year???? I'm impressed. I wish I had that much willpower.
It's hard when lots of things I want come out, because I really cannot afford them. On the other hand, I like it when new things come out because I like to look at them in the catalogue/online/board members' albums.
Sometims I do overspend, but for the most part, I am quite restrained w/ my AG purchases. I think it's just the same old difficulty of learning moderation.
(Maybe that's why I'm procrastinating on this paper. It's on the inevitable decline of society's ethics when "relish" is introduced. Once you get a little relish, you want more and more and more...)
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You have to understand, nobody in my extended family understands my tastes, and buying AG for me makes it easy for them, so I've decided to really start depending on gifts. Music and Movies used to be my main gifts, but I've found great sources for super cheap music and movies, so I've chosen to switch to almost strictly AG. I'm still working it out, but it's going pretty well, so far.Originally posted by balletmom:
